Currently, rumors are going about that Ripple will soon get listed on the Coinbase exchange. Already, the news helped push XRP prices to over 16%, currently making it one of the most profitable cryptocurrencies. If the trend continues, Ripple just might return to its former glory.
Coinbase is a San Francisco based digital currency exchange which also happens to be the largest of its kind in the US and one of the largest in the World. On the other hand, XRP ranks third regarding market caps and Ripple is making headlines every day thanks to its technologies such as xRapid and xCurrent.
Now for the past few years, speculations were made that XRP just might get listed on Coinbase. Nevertheless, the popular cryptocurrency exchange has come forward and refuted the claims, time and time again.
During early January 2018, expectations were high that XRP would get added to Coinbase. The bullish sentiment managed to get XRP to a record high of $3.84 during the period. But alas, Coinbase refuted such claims, and the Ripple cryptocurrency value fell below $0.70 by the first week of February.
So what rekindled the expectations again, despite the continued rejection? Well, currently news is going around that Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Coinbase COO Asiff Hirji will share the same TV screen on CNBC’ Fast Money show.
An XRPChat user has posted a picture of the two executives in question along with two other possible guests in the mentioned show – this adds further validity, and hope, to the expectation. The next Fast Money show, which is supposed to feature the two men will air 6th March.
As of now, hopes are such that, the XRP inclusion on Coinbase will be announced on the show. And if this happens, then Ripple will surely gain another major upswing.
Apart from this, another area for hope seems to be with Coinbase employing over 500 new members. People are speculating that this is a preparatory move to get ready for the high demand that is going to flood in with XRP’s listing on Coinbase.
