Ripple Hires a New Chief Marketing Strategist

This week has not been a favorable one for the Ripple cryptocurrency, XRP. The digital currency has just recently seen a drop of around 13.74% in the past 24 hours alone. Previous day figures also haven’t been so good either.

However, on the bright side of things, XRP still holds the third place as per market capital, and besides, the whole cryptocurrency market has been under a bearish spell as of late. Also, the company claims that everything is going according to Ripple team’s agenda. Furthermore, a new Chief Marketing Strategist is joining Ripple, and he seems like a man with a plan.

Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO has made it official through a tweet that Bloomberg TV’s Cory Johnson will now be a part of their company. Cory has been working for Bloomberg, covering technology news and insights on TV and Radio. Here is what the man has to say regarding Ripple:

“The role of Ripple as a company and XRP as a currency in financial markets, to regulators, financial institutions and investors could use more explaining, I’m going to try and explain, listen and set strategies to make it easy for Wall Street and the world of finance to understand what we’re doing.”

Many of XRP followers were very happy with the new hiring. Cory is known for being knowledgeable, insightful, and being clear with his communications. Also, as Garlinghouse commented, “Cory has seen it all – from the dot-com bubble through the crypto wild west,” which makes him a great judge to analyze the role and impact of XRP.

According to a CNBC report, Cory Johnson will be working in close proximity with Ron Will, Ripple’s CFO. Cory is tasked with connecting and interacting with investors, trying to help them understand the DNA of the company and also XRP.

Hopefully, this new change will have a noticeable change in the otherwise sluggish growth experienced by Ripple. As of now, XRP holds a value of $0.789.
